Will the photographer stage the property and clean up?

No. It is the responsibility of the realtor and/or homeowner to ensure the property is ready to shoot when the photographer arrives in order to make the most of your booking time. There are a number of talented home staging companies in Edmonton which can assist you in this regard. The photographer may make minor adjustments in order to make the area as photogenic as possible.

What happens when the weather is bad?

Weather in Alberta is generally favourable for real estate photography, but it can be unpredictable. At The Realty Photo Co., we keep updated on weather conditions and advise that you do the same if you have an upcoming booking. If there is a strong possibility of extreme weather including rain, snow, hail, wind, ice and lightning, we can have a conversation about how best to proceed because each situation is unique. We can reschedule or, if timelines are important and weather permits, you may consider having the inside photos done on the scheduled booking and then book for an exterior update at the next opportunity. The standard $45 cancellation fee will not be applied for appointments cancelled due to inclement weather.

How is billing calculated for iGUIDE and RMS/Floor Plans?

Square footage for billing purposes is based on the “billable area” as defined by iGUIDE and will include the floor area measured in the capture and processing of the iGUIDE report including basement areas. There is no charge for attached garages or decks/balconies.

How should I prepare for measure and floor plan appointment?

It is not unusual for homeowners to use a room or garage to place extra stuff in order to declutter the rest of the home for photos, virtual tour, and videos. However, your measurements and floor plans are derived using a laser measuring system. It is important that the laser makes contact with each wall in every room you want to include in the measurements/floor plan report. It is also a good idea to not stuff too much into closets because each closet should be measured as well.

How will I receive my photos?

You will receive an email with a link to a Dropbox folder containing your photos which you can download. The folder will contain two folders. One is optimized for web and the other for print.

Commercial photos are given a basic edit, and you will receive a link to a Dropbox folder containing all the photos from your booking. These images will be watermarked. Once you choose the photos you would like to purchase, these photos will receive a final edit, the watermark will be removed, and a link to a Dropbox folder containing your final product will be emailed to you.

When will I receive my product?

Photos, measurements, floor plans, and virtual tours are usually available within 24 hours of the booking completion. Virtual staging is generally ready within 48 hours of the stager confirming the order. Large orders may take longer.
